Dear Minnesota CPCU Society Chapter Members:
The first part of 2016 has been moving at rapid speed and it seems that time is flying by. I am proud to report that the Chapter had an excellent meeting in January and we have another excellent Chapter meeting schedule for the 24th of March. The focus of the March meeting will be “Risk Management in the Age of Terrorism”. I am really excited to hear what the speakers have to present and I also am excited to see as many of you at the meeting as possible.
The national CPCU Conferment Ceremony this year is in the state of Hawaii which usually causes the CPCU “New Designee” class to swell. I would encourage all of you to reach out to a “New Designee” that is in your circle of influence. I am sure that you have been a good example to them already. I would like to have each CPCU member continue to mentor other CPCU’s to help them reach the potential that the CPCU designation can bring them. The Minnesota CPCU Chapter has more than enough room for CPCU’s that want to help and contribute at the Chapter level. We have a great core of individuals that make the Chapter run and I really appreciate them and all of the hard work that they put in.
If you would like to become more involved in the Minnesota CPCU Chapter and would like to volunteer your time to other CPCU’s, please let me know or another member of the Chapter Board know and we can put you to work. Have a great month and I hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Brian R. Bent, CPCU, ARM, MS | Minnesota CPCU Chapter President
