Hello Members and Friends--
And that’s a wrap!
As 2018 comes to a close, my term as President is also coming to an end. We’ve accomplished many things together over the past year and I wanted to highlight a few:
- We held our first membership meeting which was our Insurance Geek Trivia Night. There were 30 people in attendance, which included a lot of new people curious about the Chapter.
- We had two educational meetings which tackled the topics of foreign liability and cannabis and we offered discounts for designation related courses through PrepAdemy.
- We were able to give back to the community by making monetary donations to the Think Great Foundation, Minneapolis Recreation 363, and Feed My Starving Children. Also, we had two opportunities to roll up our sleeves and package food for Feed My Starving Children.
- 34 individuals attained their CPCU designation and were honored in October.
- We gained five additional members to the board and committees of the MN Chapter.
- We enjoyed annual social events like our New Designee Social and a St. Paul Saints outing.
The leadership of the Chapter has already put together an outline for our 2019 schedule and we have many exciting learning and networking opportunities to look forward to. I hope you were able to attend some of our 2018 events and would love to have your continued support in 2019. January 17, 2019 is the 2nd Ever Insurance Geek Trivia Night - Save the date!

One last thing for 2018 -- the Good Works committee has scheduled an event at Feed My Staving Children the morning of Saturday, December 15th. If you're interested in being a part of this hands-on opportunity to help pack food for people in developing nations, email Rick Liddle at rrliddle@hotmail.com.
Happy learning,
