Hello Minnesota Chapter Members,
I hope that you all are having a wonderful summer. It seems to be going by quickly. In recent days, I had the opportunity to spend time with some teenagers and realized the opportunity that I had to mentor them in a number of ways. This got me to thinking………
As members of the Minnesota CPCU Chapter we are professionals in our excellent industry. As such we have something to give those that we associate with. The benefit of our knowledge and experience. I hope that we all have the desire to have a legacy. Why not have a legacy of mentoring and helping others in our industry. Along with that, I would like to issue a challenge to us all. I would like for us to talk to those individuals in our lives that we know who are in High School or in College about the excellent industry that we work in every day. Encourage them to explore a career in the insurance industry. The Institutes and CPCU Society support excellent resources to assist with exploring and starting down the career path through their website - InsureMyPath.org
If you do this you will build a legacy that will last and will be passed along. I am sure that if you think back in your life or career, you can remember people that took the time to mentor and help you. I know I can and I really appreciate that they took the time and cared enough to help me succeed.
As always, if you have a desire to volunteer your time to a worthy organization, the Chapter could always use your help.
